Muzzles are a great way to control young puppies from play biting you, the kids, your other pets and everything in your house. Muzzle training a young puppy can be a fun exercise to stimulate their brain, build confidence and ultimately allow you the freedom from having puppy teeth all over you and your household items! Puppy biting humans can lead to ACTUAL biting down the road (depending on how you handle it) and can lead to ingesting dangerous items. The muzzle is your friend!
STRESSFUL SITUATIONS
Dogs can do unpredictable and sometimes dangerous things when under pressure. The muzzle is also a great tool to use if your dog is uncomfortable in unique situations, such as going to the vet or the groomer. They’ll be far less stressed with a muzzle on if they learn how to accept it BEFORE you put them in the situation and everyone is safer.

HOW TO CONDITION A DOG TO WEAR A MUZZLE
The process to accept a muzzle can take a few days or a few weeks. Work with patience! Here is a great video to learn the steps to teach a dog acceptance. Do not move on to the next step until you have successfully passed the previous one.
