Amanda met Kate, the owner of Happy Tails, when she worked at a local doggy daycare center where Kate enrolled her dog in swim lessons. Amanda was her instructor! Kate LOVED how Amanda interacted with her dog and in 2015 hired Amanda as a Kennel Assistant at Happy Tails. She was an integral part of our team, so she earned her position as the next Happy Tails trainer. Amanda received her Master Training Certification from National K9 School for Dog Trainers in May of 2016. Her two pups Laney and Rizzo can often be seen assisting with training while at work, being distractions or simply being cute! She finds the most rewarding part of being a trainer is when she can assist owners with getting back to fully enjoying their dogs again.
“Having a well-trained dog means you can communicate expectations with them and once you open that line of communication, it makes owning a dog so much more enjoyable.”
Besides her passion for animals, she is an avid competitive softball player and cherishes time spent with her family and friends.
