PRICING

It is nearly impossible to say what training for you and your dog would cost before we understand your needs, goals and your dog’s personality. At Happy Tails, we don’t place every dog in the same program (which is why we can’t quote over the phone); we customize a program specifically for you and your dog. That is why we always start with a consultation with a certified trainer. Together, you’ll decide whether private one-on-one lessons are best for you or if you’d best benefit from a resident training program.

Developing a cost for your training program will depend on ALL of the following factors:

YOUR DOG’S PERSONALITY

Five dogs with the exact same goals but different personalities may require five different programs options. Not all dogs are candidates for private lessons and not all dogs are candidates for every resident training program we offer. We don’t give you ALL the options. We give you YOUR options.

YOUR DOG’S BEHAVIOR ISSUES

How bad are they? Are you dealing with anxiety or aggression or just general bratty behavior? There’s a huge difference in the required program.

YOUR GOALS

Bigger or more advanced goals require more private lessons or a longer time in a resident training program.

HOW MUCH WORK HAVE YOU ALREADY PUT IN?

Some people come to us with a dog that already knows A LOT and they just need some fine-tuning and some dogs don’t even know sit yet.

HOW MUCH WORK DO YOU WANT TO PUT IN MOVING FORWARD?

Do you want to do most of the work by enrolling in private lessons or do you want us to do the up-front foundation work and you just learn how to maintain what your dog already knows by enrolling them in a resident training program?

HOW MUCH TIME CAN YOU PUT IN EACH WEEK?

Training requires consistency seven days a week. Private lessons will require more out of you every day, less if you do a resident training program.

DO YOU HAVE PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS?

Training is very physical. Some people admit they cannot choose private lessons because they aren’t physically capable to complete them. No worries! Many of our resident training program customers are in wheel chairs or have physical limitations that prevent them from doing the up front work, so we do it for you! We’ll discuss this during your consultation.

ARE YOU A CURRENT OR FORMER FIREFIGHTER, POLICE OFFICER OR MILITARY MEMBER?

We are a very patriotic team and we thank you for your service to our country and/or community – you are eligible for a discount to show our gratitude for what you do or have done for us.

PRIVATE LESSONS

$135/each

RESIDENT TRAINING PROGRAMS

$1,700-$4,000

Scheduling a consultation with a professional trainer is a great way for you and your dog(s) to meet a trainer and customize a solution the best meets your needs and gets you to your goals. This is an opportunity for you to discuss behavior issues and personality traits your dog may be exhibiting and we’ll prescribe what needs to be done to correct or manage your issues. The consultation will be approximately 1-2 hours and during the session your trainer will ask you a lot of questions about your situation and allow you to ask your questions as well – it will then end with a recommendation from your trainer on which, if any, of our programs are appropriate.
